In a good humor,
under candlelight,
in his study,
Wyatt unlocked an oak
box and showed us
two white human skulls
cushioned
in red velvet.

In the same spirit
with which he
enjoyed Laphroaig
alone
in his estate
on Lake Charm,
he expired from cancer,
a tumor in his brain,
a fountain of light.
