The Doll Man

The doll man rates this new,

new script, and who will play

him, who will habit the fake self

someone has crafted, the fake

plastic clothes that velcro shut

around him or his molded wife.

Who will play her in this new

drama? Who will they hire? Many

screen tests and table reads play

sordid hotel rooms. Poor woman.

He looks for eyes. They're sewn

shut. Studios rank their eye colors.
