thinks only of his newest script
and who will play him, who will
inhabit the fake self someone
has crafted, the fake plastic
clothes that Velcro shut around
him, his fake molded wife --who
will play her in this new drama,
who will they hire after many
screen tests, table reads inside
sordid hotel rooms? Poor woman!
He looks for her eyes, but they're
sewn shut until marketing decides
on her iris' color.
