Upon a Time

Upon a Time 

          Fat beneath

the noon sun,

we dedicate

poems to our 

                    patrons 

who spoil

     us with wine 

and sofas

     to doze upon 

like calico cats

who meow mindfully 

for their supper

      and doze fat 

                    beneath

the noon sun.
