Sleepwalk
Sleepwalk
Then the third plague fell,
fell upon our people
because we would not
release Midas from bondage.
Our children slept well, well
before this plague. But then boys,
boys and girls awoke in neighbors'
homes, all unaware, confused.
Days later, wives and husbands
began to awake in cities
on the coast. Some awoke
in other beds beside, beside
strangers, all unaware,
confused. And this plague
lasted only forty years
while Midas slept.
Then the fourth plague fell,
fell upon our people
because we would not
release Midas from bondage.
