Tobias says, "Stop, kill no more."

He fears no king more than God,

     and so carries off the bodies,

          hides them in his home, 

then at midnight, buries them.

Tobias says, "Stop, oh so weary."

     He comes home, and throws  

his own body down by the wall 

and sleeps, and as he sleeps, hot

shit from a swallow's nest falls 

in his eyes. "Stopped. I am blind."
