Shimmer
Shimmer
So people left,
warred, then spread
their lucre's shimmer,
and traders
shined their marks
at Piraeus,
there, where
plague disembarked
to bulbo
greater Attica.
Not bronzes,
but siphonaptera
transported germs,
claimed lives,
slaked by fusion
with blood, lymph
exploded, not lead
drachmas that vested
woven visions
and prophecies.
So people left,
warred, then spread.
